In 1989, Rayful Edmond was arrested alongside 28 others in a major Washington, D.C., cocaine case. A jury convicted him, and he was sentenced to life without parole. But even behind bars, Rayful kept arranging drug deals by phone. After investigators uncovered the prison operation, Rayful began cooperating with the government. He gave information, helped with an undercover drug sting, and testified in court. Years later, he pushed for a reduction of his life sentence—and federal prosecutors made their own request to the judge. The Informant Files: Rayful Edmond III follows the paperwork and the damn complicated path from conviction to cooperation to release. Another 3MinuteTV original.
